About us

Ceelya & Marek in ConnemaraFor 19 years, I have played hockey, and,  for 5 years for Celia, there has always been the envy of Canada.

Through many visits (15 in total for Marek) in the land of the maple leaf, the desire became stronger, until one day you wake up saying, well, it’s time to fly.

After beeing 5 years with a hockey player, (Celia), you can imagine the taste of Canada, hockey, and the quebec life style was shared.

So, we started the processus for getting a permanent visa, with the following points in brief:

Firstly, we completed the forms, and, gather 10 years of past life,  I assure you that this is not an easy task, between the school results, the internship agreements, letters of employers, different address, (France, Ireland, Netherlands, Ireland again) etc.. but we managed to all gather, and validated theses papers with our respective City Councils.

The first key is to send the application on the 12th January 2009 to the Quebec Delegation in Paris for getting the Certificate of Selection of Quebec, that we only obtained 2 months later.

The steps are then multiplied,  by sending the file to the Canadian Embassy in London, validating some additional papers, as, forexample, we had to make an appointment with a commissioner of oaths to validate partners.

And then the final step, the medical visit for me (Marek) in France, and Celia, in Ireland late August 2009.

Finally, O joy !, September 24, 2009, (9 months later), the positive response for the VISA (“Please send us your passport for VISA validation”).

A tear to the left, a tear to the right, the dream can finally begin.

The Caban O Canada belongs to us!
