We are left to explore this beautiful city of Montreal. We decided to take a ride on the plateau and in particular on the Mont-Royal avenue. Another avenue full of nice stores, especially for the decoration! We ended our tour in Lafontaine Park where families gather this Sunday for a picnic and youth play football, volleyball, petanque … is very pleasant and relaxing. We look forward to returning in the winter for sledding and skating the little lake!
Under the sunshine, nothing beats a stroll in the Old Port of Montreal. It is a lively place on the edge of St Laurent, easily accessible from the center. There are all sorts of activities such as pedal boat, rollerblades, circus, science museum … you never get bored.
It’s funny we had a different memorie of this place during our last visit … snow! It’s crazy to see where the pedal boats are now the winter is an ice rink!
As indicated in the title, we received by post our Quebec driving license. For safety measure, we won’t publish a picture f our own license as they are official document to prove our identity.
Here is a specimen :
Quebec Driving License
It’s not bigger than a credit card, which is more convenient in the wallet! Each driving license shall be renewed at your birthday and costs +/- 80$. If you get a fine and loose points, you’ll have to pay a premium during 2 years at each renewal… be careful!
This evening there is very important game for the Montreal Canadiens as the Philadelphia Flyers lead the conference final 3 games vs 1. This means that a defeat would eliminate the Canadians.
Here is a nice video tribute posted on YouTube for Montreal.
